I’m Sharlyn Premuda…the Sharlyn in “bysharlyn”.  I am having so much fun creating this web site!

I grew up in a family that enjoyed creating…food, clothes, poems, furniture, ceramics, gardens–we were encouraged to try them all.  As youngsters my sister and I earned summer spending money making things for the county fair.  In college, at Bowling Green State University, I earned a degree in clothing and textiles and a degree in art.  Most recently lampworking has consumed most of my energy and interest.

I am very lucky.  I have a husband who has always supported me in what I want to do.  We’ve been married 33 years.  We have two sons who you’ll learn more about in later entries.  As a young wife and mother I worked outside the home as an administrative assistant.  At this point in our lives we have a little more freedom to explore our interests.  With Dan’s encouragement and my son’s talents creating and marketing web sites, (jpp@currentblend.com), I find myself finally having the chance to do the things I love for my job!

This will be a work in progress as I figure out what we’re both most interested in.  I’ll be writing about things interesting and important to me.  I’ll also be posting new products.  I hope you’ll check in often and let me know what you think and what you’re thinking about.  So, please stay in touch.  I hope as we get better acquainted that you’ll consider me a friend.  I can always use a new friend!  Thanks for stopping by.
